  1. Me too. I’m such a fan of these marshy areas in general (except for when it’s the peak of mosquito season). I don’t think I’ve ever seen a red pond lily before, just white and yellow. Looks beautiful.

    1. Thanks, Linda. I think the red and pink ones might be cultivated, while the white and yellow ones are wild. Actually, I just stopped to look them up and found out that they were first cultivated in Egypt and that the wild ones tend to be white, yellow or a very light pink. They aren’t just a pretty face because they apparently also prevent algae from forming. Cheers.
