A Four Leaf Clover

Four leaf clovers only occur about once in 10,000 clovers, so finding one really is quite lucky. Here’s a picture of one from several years ago; it was subsequently framed and kept in a prominent location.

I’m not a believer in horse shoe luck or four leaf clover luck or ladybug luck. But if anyone needs luck right now it’s the people who have lost homes, possessions, neighbourhoods and in some cases, entire communities to these raging fires that are afflicting this country. The other group that needs luck are the fire fighters and their supporters. Here in the Okanagan they are often doing 40 hour shifts under the most extremely trying and difficult circumstances.

Thank you, good luck and stay safe, everyone. 🍀

  1. So agree with you. Thoughts and prayers with beautiful Canada and sincere gratitude for the amazing firefighters. I hope you and yours stay safe and well Lynette. I know fires are burning in your area. Just truly terrible.

    1. Thank you very much Cindy; much appreciated. We are fortunate in that no one has been hurt or injured and fingers crossed that it stays that way. The emergency managers are reporting that the fires in our area are being slowly extinguished, so that’s a bit more good news.

  2. Hopefully the fires will have burned themselves out and people can start recovering as much as they can of what they’ve lost and the firefighters can return home to their families safe.
I’ve never ever found a four-leaf clover. Of course I’ve hardly ever looked for one and I think the secret to it is having luck. So maybe the luck is the find. 🙂

    1. The nearby fires are being described as “held,” which apparently means that they are under control, thankfully. Many of the fire fighters kept going even though their own homes where in danger (and in some cases, were destroyed).

I agree that the luck is probably in the finding. 🍀 Cheers.
