They usually stay pretty far from humans and there’s so much choice for them, of course. I see lots of other raptors such as golden eagles, harriers and hawks, but bald eagles are more elusive.
Hahaha.😁 They are so large, elegant and imposing. Beautiful birds. I tried to get a picture of one in flight, but no luck on that front. Thanks, Allan.
Thank you very much. Yes, it was a surprise as I don’t see them very often, and when I do, they usually take off into some trees to away from me and I’m not able to get a picture. Cheers.
Gotta love a Baldie!

Oh lucky you being able to see Goldies! They only hang around mountainous terrain.

It’s not unusual to see them on the tundra although yes, they’re happier in the mountains.

I miss seeing the eagles in the PNW. We saw them frequently at our home in Mukilteo; they’re so magnificent. Have a great weekend Lynette!

Thank you. Agreed; magnificent is the right word to describe them. They are such elegant birds when flying, too, despite their size.

I have an affinity for these birds. Could be because they are rocking my hairstyle. Great shot Lynette. Happy weekend. Allan

When you go to Port Renfrew after retirement, you will see plenty of eagles and ospreys there on trees and in flight. 🦅🦅🦅

Thank you very much. 🙂 Our subarctic weather has been so warm. Very unusual, especially for spring. Temps around 26C (80F)!
