  1. My parents have acquired a large sunflower on their flat roof. Seems a passing songbird took a seed from the garden birdfeeder and buried it in a flowerpot up there!

  2. Lovely shot, Lynette. In parts of Europe you can pass fields full of these bright flowers, all facing the sun. And, yes, the birds love their seeds. Mind you, so do I!

    1. Thanks, Stuart. Yes, I remember the sunflower fields from when my time living in Germany. There are many fields of them here in the north, too. They do well with 20 hours of daily sunshine!
