I spent the better part of a day there, probably 25 years ago now. What I remember was totem poles – I’m not sure I ever found coastline! At least I didn’t remember it –
Yes, there are many totem poles, lots more than 25 years ago. Indigenous culture is gradually gaining more visible importance (I’m happy to say), so that would be an important change from your last visit. Vancouver is very dominated by the ocean, but you weren’t there very long, and you may have been interested in other things. 🙂
What a beautiful shoreline.

Stanley Park is one of the world’s best. Rather spectacular!

What is that so far out to sea? More rocks?

That looks like freighters and other seagoing vessels. Vancouver is a port and accommodates some pretty big ships.

That makes sense. I see those in my San Diego sea pictures.

Yes, Anneli is right; those are big freighters and other ships. Cheers.

Stanely park was one of my favourite places to explore during our time in Vancouver 🙂

It’s such a beautiful park. There was a drought when we visited in July\August so it was very dry, but it was still gorgeous.
