   1. It was a beautiful evening walk. The air was so soft and gentle, and it was nice to be strolling after dinner with lots of families and other couples.

   1. We got rain yesterday! A whole day of it, slow and steady and no wind. Our nearby fires (Oliver and Osoyoos) should be greatly reduced. I don’t think the big one between Vernon and Kamloops got nearly enough, though.

4. Sorry to hear about the fires – sounds like it’s been a tough season for it. Fewer than last year over here, because the cause is normally human in our landscapes and the lockdown crowds have drifted back to whatever they were doing before.

   1. Thank you. It has been so dry and hot – at times, temperatures in the mid to high 40s. There have been a few cases of humans causing the fires, but for the most part, they have ignited spontaneously.
