Meditation XVII

No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent,

a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as any manner of thy friends or of

thine own were; any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind.

And therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ Yes, they are, and rolling hills are gorgeous too. I find those gentle curvatures very soothing and relaxing. My M loves mountains (I do as well, but I like just about everything πŸ™‚ ) and our home is in the Okanagan Valley between two mountain ranges. The north where I work is much different. Even the winter air is a different shade from the south. I love all the variation nature offers. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you. πŸ™‚ I think I first encountered him in HS and then later did a uni course on metaphysical poets that included him. I hadn’t thought of him in a long time either, but he spoke to me for these photos.
