Cloud Art

I saw some interesting cloud formations that were lit by an almost full moon.

The moon itself was rather impressive, but I thought the clouds were more compelling. I was hoping for a better picture (this was taken with my phone – I do need to be better about remembering my camera!), but I think it conveys an idea of what I saw.

Happy Friday; happy weekend.

    1. The phone cameras are really quite good, but the zoom feature on any of them is going to be lacking, especially at night. They just can’t compete with a good lens. For most pictures though, the phone cameras work well and I use mine a lot too. Cheers.

  1. There’s always something to see, if we keep our eyes open. Very nice photo. I was also looking at the full moon with clouds moving past it this morning and felt exactly as you did, seeing these.

  2. I’d say the picture turned out pretty well considering it was from your cell phone. It’s amazing how clouds come in such unusual shapes and patterns and that they’re always changing. It’s a good reason to look up at the sky every so often.

    1. Thank you very much for your kind words, Linda. Cell cameras don’t generally work very well for moon pictures (including this one where the moon is just sort of a bright blob) but the clouds did turn out rather well which is what I was trying to capture. Yes, it’s always a good idea to look up, especially at this time of year. Cheers.
