The Northwest Territories’ Mackenzie River is the centre point of the longest river system in Canada, and includes the second largest drainage basin of any North American river after the Mississippi.
At times, it’s large enough to make you feel as if you’re on an ocean.

I took this photo back in August. Those green leaves are all gone now and today a snow storm started. I am presently at 61° N latitude (roughly the same as Oslo, Norway) after all, so winter comes early.
It will probably snow every day now for about the next month (we are near a very big lake and that makes a lot of snow until it freezes).
But dreaming of summer is a very good thing. An appreciative thing. 🙂

The spring has been very slow to arrive this year, even for here, but today showed signs that it’s finally landed.
I ventured out a bit and saw three bears (!) and this pretty view.
