2020 Photographic Review, Part 1

In spite of the fact that 2020 wasn’t much liked, I was able to take a few decent photos. Some were more popular than others, and here are some of those, again. I didn’t necessarily take these photos in this order or during those months; they just match better. 🙂

Here are the first six of your 2020 favourites.

January

Into the light.

February

University of Toronto heritage building.

March

Toronto’s CN Tower and a super-moon.

April

How can you not adore me?

May

Apart together.

June

Orchid glory.

Happy Monday; happy week. 🙂

March 20’s Friday Flower

I am safely back in Canada and almost at my work-home to start my 14 days of self-isolation. It has been hectic as I tried to handle all sorts of things from a distance and the concern about being able to get home at all was also in the back of my mind.

Thank you to everyone who wished me safe travels and good luck. That was so very much appreciated. 🙂

And now, something lovely to look at …

I love the variegated pink and white petals.

Whatever you’re doing, and wherever you’re from, I wish you a happy weekend, good health, and a better week to come. 🙂

Flowers of Republica Dominicana Part II

Dominican Republic is home to many types of orchids, something I hadn’t realized until my last visit.

I had been there a number of times before, but somehow I had missed how plentiful they are.

It’s lovely to see them just growing where they like, these beautiful splashes of ostentatious and frilly colour.

The freedom to take root in the ground of choice is one we should all be able to enjoy. 🙂
