Vineyard Lunch

Today was a holiday Monday, so M and I did a little vineyard exploration and found a lovely winery restaurant and a good bottle of wine.

This was the view from the winery restaurant deck.

Lunch was delicious, the view was fantastic and we were rewarded with a gaggle of wild roses (also known as sweet briar roses) as we left the grounds. It was a good day.

Very pale pink.
Princess pink wild rose.

It had just rained, and the scent from these roses was heavenly.

Happy Tuesday.

  1. I love the scent of roses after the rain. It always reminds me of my childhood and a visit we paid to my grandmother’s house. Sounds like you had an enjoyable day, Lynette. Love that pink rose!

    1. I agree! They give such a fresh, rosy scent – it’s just beautiful. It sounds like the memory of your grandmother’s house is a lovely one. We did have a very enjoyable day with a great lunch and a pretty view. 🙂

    1. It was, and not too crowded yet. The rose bushes were everywhere growing in little patches between rocks, so they’re a hardy group. The scent coming from them was really gorgeous. Cheers.

I'd love to hear what you have to say!
