During the first week in May, I made my annual trip to Lilacia Park in Lombard in perfect time to see the lilacs and tulips at their best. The garden…
Lilac Time In Lombard
I hope you stop by Sue’s blog, The Nature of Things, to see the rest of her beautiful photos of spring blooms.
Hey Miss Lynette, thank you for sharing this. It is near where I live, and I’ve never been there. Of course, everyone has heard of it who lives here. This just motivated me to get there before lilacs end. 👍
You’re very welcome. 🙂 It’s funny how we can ignore the attractions that are nearby. I used to live near the Calgary Stampede site but it took ten years before I actually went (it was a lot of fun). I’m sure you will enjoy your visit; lilacs are so wonderful. 🙂
I’ve always wanted to go, but because the lilac season is so short, I haven’t had time to get there. It’s about 45 minutes away. If it doesn’t rain this weekend, I’m hoping we can go.
Yes, 45 mins makes a difference. Then you have to plan. I hope you’re able to go and have an enjoyable time. 🙂
I used to live near there! 🙂
I would love to visit! It must be so beautiful.
I always thought it was cute that the city called their annual festival “Lilac Days.” 🙂
Agreed – that is cute and such a fragrant festival, too.
Thanks for the mention, Lynette.
You’re very welcome, Sue. Such a beautiful photo collection of spring flowers!
