A stump trapped on a beach outside Victoria, British Columbia …

… lodged there very firmly.

A tree no more, battered by surf and gravel, a forest orphan …

… among many, many others.

Always amazing to see what washes up on the coast of Vancouver Island. Happy Wednesday Lynette. Allan
Agreed, Allan. There are always a lot of ocean-battered logs, but many other bits to see, too. Cheers.
It’s stuck all right – until the next severe storm.
For sure! Unless it winds up like that barge in Vancouver, completely dug in and going nowhere! 😉
Oh yeah, I’d forgotten about that!
Two people I follow had both recently mentioned that barge, so it was fresh in my mind. Cheers.
I’m a fan of all the driftwood that gets washed up on shore. An old log can make a great spot to sit and admire the views (assuming it’s not wet).
These were really piled on each other (and also wet). If you took the time to pick your way through you might find a good spot. I’m a huge ocean fan, so a good place to sit and absorb is very appealing to me, too.
