A sample of the winter driving we do on a regular basis “north of 60.” For those unfamiliar, “north of 60” means north of 60° north latitude, which is the boundary between Alberta and Northwest Territories.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!
A beautiful place Lynette, but one I am sure you will have had your fill of by retirement date. Happy Saturday. Allan
Definitely, Allan. It has many beauties but it is really demanding and I’m running out of gas. Has to happen some time!
Are the snow plow folks reliable? I sure hope so.
Actually, they are extremely reliable and very fast and efficient. I’ve never seen better anywhere else.
It looks from a fairy tale! Hope the roads are well maintained, and cleaned properly during the winter time – it doesn’t seem you had a lot of snow..
Drive safe, and have a beautiful weekend!
Thank you very much. Yes, it does have that misty fairy tale quality. It was quite a beautiful sunrise coming out of the overcast like that. Yes, the roads are extremely well maintained, but there is a lot of snow piled up on the sides. Waist deep in places, I would say. The pictures are a bit misleading because the road looks so clean!
🥰🥰🥰
Now it looks like this here!
Sorry to hear that, Cindy! A lot of snowy weather came out of the Arctic over the last few days.
I’ll be so glad when we don’t have to deal with this snow anymore. Most of it is up in the hills now, but there is still the forecast of flurries for several days ahead. It’s supposed to be spring soon!
Yuck. M is in Penticton and reported that it’s cooler than normal with lots of slushy rainfall. It seems that spring is going to be slow this year with winter hanging on and on.
Certainly seems that way here.
Stay warm.
Stunning captures. But the driving looks like it can be treacherous.
Thank you very much. 🙂 Yes, complacency and overconfidence aren’t good things on these northern roads.
