At the summit the weather became clear and sunny, but we had been in some major pea soup on the way up. The Yellowhead is in fair condition, no ice but lots of road spray. We stayed at the Best Western in Valemount last night. Good beds and decent food with a great fireplace in the lounge. Unfortunately the bakery is closed today. Cheers.
Thank you very much. It became very foggy while driving to the summit and then we were suddenly in the sun with the snow-shrouded trees and blue sky. Such a welcome juxtaposition.
Thank you very much, Cindy. It was a long but interesting drive through some of the more northerly mountains. Having a dinner next to the fire afterwards was a wonderful reward.
