Agreed; they are so lovely.
What an amazing find! That bank must have been such a beautiful and unexpected surprise. I have actually seen pink hydrangeas with very small areas of blue petals, so I think they might be hyper-sensitive to even tiny changes in the soil. Have you seen the red ones? That can happen in extremely alkaline soils. I’ve stopped trying to figure them out though; I just enjoy them instead.
I love hydrangeas. They remind me of Cape Cod. I just planted some outside the front of my house in the spring. I’m thinking of adding a few along the fence in my backyard too.
I am of the opinion that you can’t have too many hydrangeas! They’re so beautiful when they’ve matured and are covered in blooms. I hope yours do well. Cheers.
Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan
Thanks Allan!
That is beautiful.
I think hydrangeas are so gorgeous!
That’s a very pale one but pretty just the same.
I really like the two-tone colours. Hydrangeas can come in interesting variations, but I don’t think I had seen this one before.
They’re such beautiful flowers, aren’t they? The bank of them I photographed in Donegal last year is fabulous: https://nellifantsnotions.wordpress.com/2021/08/22/blooming-beautiful/

Oh, no, I’ve never seen red. I agree about just enjoying them and not trying to work out the science!
