Hi Lori, frankly, it was just luck. I did a couple of burst shots when I saw the goose taking off. I also had my shutter at 1\500. This was the only one that really turned out.
For me it takes a lot of different tries for one shot, too. Thanks for sharing what you tried.

Fabulous shot of the Canadian goose in flight! They look much more graceful in the air than they do on land.
When they’re starting their take-off they look like they might not make it, but once airborne, I agree, so graceful!
