These little birds – a type of sparrow – mate for life and come to the Northwest Territories to nest and raise their young. Many of them then fly to British Columbia for the winter.

They have a lovely trilling song with which you may be familiar.
Happy Wednesday.
As I listened to your YouTube video, birds were chirping away in the trees outside my house. Birds are the greatest.
I couldn’t agree more! I love watching them. 🙂
A real cutie. They are also seen in areas around Edmonton. Happy Wednesday Lynette. Allan
Yes, I’ve also seen them in the Edmonton area as well as southern Alberta (they used to visit my feeders there). Agreed, so cute!

Thanks
You’re welcome. 🙂
They are another standard bird that overwinters here. So nice to see them.
I like them so much. They are very similar to the chickadees; friendly, chatty and sociable. Cheers.
Very cute. I love that they mate for life.
They are very cute little birds, and like the chickadees, very sociable and chatty.
