I find old bottles, especially blue ones, both decorative and interesting.

A friend has just bought a new house and found this one when she was digging in an old vegetable patch.
I’m not sure what it originally contained, but it’s nice to have it in use again.
Happy Monday.
Blue bottles seem a rarity these days, not like the good old days of Noxema blue. Happy Monday Lynette.
Noxema! I had forgotten about their blue glass jars. That’s a blast from the past!
That shape used to be quite popular!
There’s a stopper in it that my friend was afraid to try to remove as it was really in there, and she didn’t want to risk breaking the bottle. Yes, a very interesting shape. Amazing how they have changed over the years.
That’s quite a little treasure to find.
Yes, and not a shape that is very common any more. We thought that it might have held some kind of alcohol, and we envisioned someone sneaking off to the vegetable patch to have a quiet snort, then getting a little tipsy and losing the bottle!
Wouldn’t it be fun to know these things? Or maybe it’s more fun to imagine all the different possible scenarios.
I agree; much more fun to do the imagining!
A very attractive bottle, Lynette.
Thank you. It was an interesting find. 🙂
What a lovely bottle and now you have a neat story as to how it was added to your collection.
Actually, my friend found it (it was her yard), but it’s doing well in among her collectables now. 🙂
