The Butchart Gardens is a group of floral display gardens located near Victoria on Vancouver Island. These gardens, which were originally the site of a large quarry, receive over a million visitors each year and have been designated as a national historic site.
My nephew has worked amid these gorgeous gardens for many years, and he occasionally sends me a photo or two.

Happy Friday, happy weekend!
The Butchart Gardens is probably one of the nicest gardens I’ve been to. That’s neat that your nephew works there. Sounds like it would be an interesting job and a great way to learn more about plants and flowers.
It’s such a beautiful, serene place. His knowledge has really grown over the years, and if I have a plant question, he’s certainly the one to ask! A nice side feature is that it has also kept him very fit.
We will be very near there tonight, but doubt we will visit. Weather on the island has been cool, but is improving. Happy Friday Lynette. Allan
The Butchart Gardens take time to savour and enjoy. Yes, I have heard that it has been a cool spring so far. Enjoy your Vancouver Island visit, Allan!
Those are gorgeous. What a splash of color amid the green and blue.
These gardens are so beautiful and so tranquil, as well. Cheers, Jacqui. 🙂
Super Nice post
Thanks
Thank you very much. 🙂
It has been decades since I’ve been there, but it is really beautiful.
Is this anywhere near where you live, Anneli?
It’s about a three- or four-hour drive from here. In Victoria on the south end of Vancouver Island. We are mid-island.
I haven’t visited in the last five years or so, either, but I’m looking forward to going again in about 13 months!
Simply stunning!
It is really lovely, and such a fantastic place to visit after the big summer crowds have left. It’s very serene. Cheers.
