I found this little flower happily blooming amidst the muddy, soggy ground of our rapidly melting snow.

Have a happy day.

It’s pretty amazing how resilient certain flowers are and that they grow in the most unlikely locations or conditions sometimes. Enjoy the rest of your day as well. Linda
I couldn’t agree more. I have seen lots of examples of this since I’ve been in the NWT. Agreed- I t’s truly amazing how resilient some flowers can be.
I hope your day is as beautiful as this beautiful white beauty!
Thank you very much, Deeksha. What a lovely wish! 🙂
Beauty grows in the most amazing conditions. Happy Tuesday Lynette. Allan
It certainly does, and it’s always such a lovely surprise to see it!
Do you know what it is?
I was told that it’s a type of crocus, but it really doesn’t look like that to me. Then again, I’ve been surprised by some of these plants before!
Maybe pasqueflower? I think crocus have 6 petals.
I did a bit of digging and found out that this a snowdrop anemone, so not a crocus at all. I hadn’t heard of pasqueflower. Very pretty.
Thank you!
You’re welcome.
That’s amazing.
Right? I love how these plants are so determined to grow, even though they sometimes face very long odds.
Cast iron and frail.
Great description!
That’s a beauty.
They’re very pretty. 🙂
