Thank you. They certainly have that fragile, baby-bird-like quality to them. I never noticed that before, although when I was young I used to think that they should turn into miniature, chipmunk-like creatures! Cheers.
Unusually for us, we have managed to miss the storms sweeping in from the west! We are creeping more steadily into the + numbers, now. 10 cm? Yikes! Stay warm, Allan.
Beautiful! For some reason they make me think of baby birds 🙂

It’s amazing that those puffy objects will turn into leaves.
Right? They look like they should turn into small fuzzy creatures of some type.
So nice to see these open. They are in arrested development here right now. Another 10 cm snow yesterday and overnight. Happy Wednesday Lynette. Allan

Call me crazy, but I’ve lost track of what those soft buds become… Hmm…
These are a type of willow, but I think there are other tree types with the fuzzy leaf pods.
Yes! That rings bells.
They’ve been a long time coming! (And your Like button is gone…?)
Oh boy, definitely yes. So weird, I can see the like button! WP can be very strange sometimes.
It doesn’t show for me.
I’m going to let the “happiness engineers” know about it.
Thanks.
I love these little guys. They are so soft and fuzzy.
Yes, they’re so pretty and another great sign of spring!
Awwwww…so delicate!..looks like some tiny baby bird will come out of it.
Yes, they do look that way. They are so cute; spring is so great!
