The more southern weather may have sprung into spring, but here it is still cold enough for the ice roads to be operating.

I’m looking forward to the melt!
Happy Friday.

Love the colour of the sky. I’m sure you enjoyed an early spring and some temporary relief from the snow. But I got to ask, how’s the icicle situation on your front porch??
I did enjoy a couple of weeks of early spring, but now I’m paying for it! It has been cold; this morning was -32C. There are quite a few icicles on the eaves as there was a lot of melt while I was away – I’ll have to post a photo. Cheers.
That’s a beautiful sky, and I would really like to cut some donuts on that ice. Not Tim Horton’s though. Them’s fer eatin’.
A very safe place for ice driving donuts as you can’t run off the road! But then you earn some eatin’ doughnuts. 🙂 It was a very pretty sky.
Now, that is a Northern Canada scene. Good to see light coming in the sky. Stay warm Lynette. Allan
Definitely! We are getting lots of light now and the days will become longer very quickly. This was a vestigial sunset. Cheers.
Oh no! Poor you! Do they have someone officially tell people when it’s not safe to cross the ice anymore?
Yes, these roads are very closely monitored and are officially opened and closed by the government. It was -32 this morning, so we’re pretty safe still!
Okay, that’s good. So you won’t go through the ice, but you’ll freeze to death if you run out of fuel.
Hahaha. 🙂 Yup.
That’s pretty darn cold!
Yes. We had -32C this morning (-25F). It was a real big disappointment after my balmy break in the south!
