Yes, it’s a brown sand beach – extremely tiny rock particles. That’s very common here on lake beaches and true even in the north. I would imagine that your beaches (ocean?) are made up of tiny particles of coral, which would make them white. Cheers.
Now you’re on the home stretch, so it won’t be too much longer in that bitter cold weather.
I head back on Sunday and agreed, I hope that we will be in the weather home stretch. We had a very late spring last year with snow even in late May; I hope that doesn’t happen again!
I’ll cross my fingers for warmish weather for you.
Thank you! 🙂
Beautiful. It doesn’t even look like a photo, more like a painting.
Beautiful photo! ^^;
Thank you very much. 🙂
Gorgeous light!
Thank you. There had just been a shower, and the departing clouds caused this effect.
Lovely lake lighting Lynette. Happy Friday indeed. Allan
Thank you, Allan. I love how the light changes on this lake. Cheers.
The shore is brown–sand? When I was in the USSR, the shores were gravelly. I’m used to white sand.

Interesting. They are definitely white–called it sand but coral makes sense. Thanks for explaining that.
You’re welcome. 🙂
Very nice. Almost looks warm enough, but I know better.
Haha. 🙂 I agree. It does look inviting, but that lake is definitely cold. There’s still a chilly wind blowing off it, too.
After all, it is still March!
Yes, it is. It has been a terrific break for me, though.

Thank you very much. 🙂 I agree that it has that look about it. I find the interplay of light around this lake to be fascinating.
Beautiful picture. I love how the light is hitting those fluffy white clouds.
Thank you very much. Yes, the clouds were reflecting the setting sun from just the right angle.
Thank you for sharing beautiful pictures.
You are very welcome. I’m glad you like them. 🙂
Love the beach!
Me too! 🙂
