I want to hit that with a sprayer full of kool aid. Bright and colorful until spring then it just melts away. And, let’s not forget, wild cherry snow cones anytime you want one.
This was actually kind of difficult to look at because it was so bright, but I still wouldn’t want to add any kool aid. The snow is very fresh and clean though, good for cones. 😉
I work in the north (62° N latitude, so much farther north than my home in the Okanagan Valley) where the atmosphere is so extremely clear (and blue!). It is really cold right now, -30C. It can get cold enough to make breathing hurtful (at about -35C or so), so it’s important to cover your mouth when it gets this low.

Happy indeed. Great photo Lynette. Allan
Thanks, Allan. Always happy to see a Friday.
Can the blue be any bluer? Wow!
It’s always such an intense blue in the winter. Almost unbelievable!
spectacular!
The air quality here is pretty amazing!
I spent a winter in SE Alaska and found the same thing.
(when it was cold & clear … which didn’t happen often)
The cold and clear season here is fairly predictable and tends to start in late December or early January. It’s incredible!
Stunning. Looks almost too cold to breathe 🙂 Wonderful image.

Take care of yourself out there! 🙂
I will, thank you. 🙂
This is such a brilliant picture. I love those deep blue skies and how bright the snow looks.
Thank you. Yes, the atmospheric clarity is so amazing. Breathtaking, certainly. But my, it’s cold!
Worth it
Thanks. 🙂
