This kind of scene is one of the things I miss about Penticton. If only it didn’t get so busy in the summer.
Yes, it does get very busy in the summer, but it’s rather a trade off. Lots of good restaurants, wineries and other facilities that Penticton is otherwise too small to sustain on its own. Everything has its price I guess!
I remember going to the Safeway really early one day to beat the tourist crowd. Thought I was so smart. I got there, and there was a long lineup of locals all with the same idea.
I tend to stay away from the big grocery stores in summer. I go to the smaller ones like IGA as they tend to be less crowded (lots more locals there) and I also go to a butcher and a green grocer (tourists don’t go to those much either). Very little difference in price. How long ago did you live in P?
That’s like asking how old I am. (Sigh). It was in the 70s. Went to the Charlottes from there, and now in Comox.
Oops! Sorry about that. Some time ago you had mentioned when you were in P but I couldn’t remember. I like Comox a lot. So beautiful.
It has become our favourite place and now we’ve been here for 40 years. What a number!
That is a very long time!
Looks beautiful. What a great scenic overlook of the harbour and bay.
It’s such a gorgeous area, probably one of the most beautiful trails anywhere.
Absolutely beautiful.
Yes, it’s a really gorgeous area. 🙂
Such a tranquil scene. Peace!
Yes, this area generates a lot of serenity.
