Happy Halloween

Walking through the crunchy leaves has been an enjoyable autumn experience accompanied by strong childhood memories of playing in the leaf piles.

I’ve always liked this Bugs Bunny cartoon; another enjoyable childhood memory associated with this time of year. After all this time, it still makes me laugh. https://youtu.be/NoSVnc-7eTk

I hope you have a little chocolate and enjoy the day, perhaps with some crunchy leaves to walk through. 🎃

  1. Happy Halloween! It will be another week or so before we get to walk in the leaves. My tree out front is just starting to get pretty, so it has even longer before it drops.

  2. It’s been a while since I watched a Bugs Bunny cartoon. That was fun. Now if I only had some of that chocolate. Er… abracadabra? Nope, that didn’t work. Hocus pocus? Nope, that didn’t work. I’ll have to sweet talk the Captain. Maybe that will do the trick.

    1. Hahaha. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed it. I always find it funny. I love the “scary” vampire just not getting that there’s no way he’s going to win against Bugs. Unfortunately, hocus pocus and abracadabra don’t work for me either, otherwise I would have worn them out by now!

  3. I raked leaves yesterday and while my arms are sore, I still kinda enjoyed it. The weather was delightfully crisp and the air smelled so autumn-like. Oh, and my tea afterward was extra refreshing.
Thanks for the Bugs fix. Great fun!

    1. Glad you liked the old Bugs cartoon. I haven’t raked leaves in a long time now, but I sure enjoyed swishing and crunching through them yesterday. It was so invigorating. There’s something about everything tasting better in the cooler autumn weather, I think. Cheers, Lynette

  4. Sorry to have missed this. It was scary movies and pizza most of the day and well into the night, so it was still good without a party or any kids (I ate at least twenty five tootsie rolls. Thanks, guys.)
I’m glad you enjoyed your day. My crispy crunchy leaf day is about two weeks out. We have a pecan tree that drops all its leaves in a single night-see “Monty Python’s Meaning of Life”.
I do truly love this time of the year. It’s calm after the frantic summer but still warm and inviting ahead of the winter cold.
There’s egg nog at the grocery store, but none for me until after Thanksgiving dinner and what a mighty digression unwinds before me now. We’ll chat later.

    1. I am a big MP fan. So funny! The weather we’re getting right now is fabulous. Crisp but not cold, sunny, no wind. I’m heading back to the sub-Arctic north at the end of this week, so it will be a lot colder. No egg nog here yet; will be a few weeks. Cheers, Lynette
