  1. Oooooooooo Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa our home and native land. True patriot love in all of us command…
What a beautiful song and such a beautiful thing to sing about one’s country. The Star Spangled Banner has never inspired any patriotic fervor in me. That fervor runs deep within me, it’s just not that good of a song. Sorry, Mister Key.
Oh, great pic, I’m almost envious.

    1. Thank you very much, Kenny. 🙂 I think you might be an honorary Canadian. 🍁 You don’t have to care for the anthem itself; it’s how you feel about the best of you and your country. Cheers, Lynette

  2. You’re right, Lynette. The events of recent years have brought out the worst in us here in America, all of us, from time to time. I abhor it, especially in myself. I have to believe I’m better than that and by extension that the rest of us are too, or at least we can be.
Sorry for politicizing your foliage. If I was made an actual honorary Canadian that would be like a shining medal on my soul, so thanks for saying it, it’s really pretty much the same, now that I think about it.
Keep your stick on the ice (Yeah, I just discovered Red Green).

    1. No worries. The Olympic uniforms were just unveiled a couple of days ago, and boy are they ugly. The models look like they are doused in maple leaves. Way to to overdo it on the whole symbolism bit. Yup, we know, there’s a maple leaf on the flag. Yikes.
You found Red Green? Pretty funny in a very goofy way. Stay handy!
