We have had some lovely weather recently; sunny with temperatures between 5 and 10C (50F). That’s pretty good for the subarctic in mid-October.
Although it is gradually getting colder, we are having a slow, gentle autumn. There are even a few bright patches of colour left.

Have a good Sunday. 🙂
This long lingering fall surprises me. Given our hot summer, I would have thought all would be winterlike by now. IN 1977, when we got married all the leaves were gone by September 17. This year, my petunias are still blooming on October 17. Maybe nature is giving us a gift. Happy Sunday Lynette. Allan
I’m surprised by it as well. We have usually had some snow by now (that has melted, but signalling the temperature change) and we have barely had frost. I’m wondering if our late spring (we still had snow in late May and June was very cold) has had some sort of impact. My totally unscientific opinion is that we’re experiencing climate change.
The yellow bright spots are cheery but I really love that photo of the cones.
Thank you. 🙂 There are still some yellow needles and cones hanging on the tamaracks, surprisingly!
I, too, love the larch (it is larch, isn’t it, with the cones?)
Yes, frequently known in Canada as tamarack. I think they are such pretty trees, especially in the autumn.
Our autumn is lingering too, it’s quite lovely. Beautiful photographs, Lynette!
Thank you very much. 🙂 It’s nice to have a slow autumn, especially this far north!
Love those bright patches of color!
They are so pretty, especially as we get closer and closer to winter!
Dandy Lions. ❤
Haha! 🙂 I love that!
I love the sunny little things plus, I drink a LOT of Dandy Lion tea and eat Dandy Lion greens on a regular basis…good for the gallbladder:

Geez… WP just messed up my link. Spacing out the letters so it won’t fubar the link data.

This will show my Dandy Lion posts.
I got the link. Thank you very much! 🙂
Welcome!
Love the golden colours, especially from the dandelions. Enjoy the “warm” and sunny weather while you can. The days are definitely starting to feel cooler here and we’ll likely have to turn our furnace on this week.
Thank you, Linda. It has really been nice, and I’m hoping it stretches a bit longer, but that’s not what I’m hearing from the weather gurus. Stay warm – I understand that Ontario is about to get cooler.
