I’ll be glad when the smoke clears from the skies. This looks like it could be smoke and not so much just natural gray cloud??? Vancouver usually has pretty clean air, as cities go. Even on overcast days, it’s not too bad for “clean” air.
A few years ago we had it very bad on the island (from fires in BC’s interior) and it was scary when it became so hard to breathe.
Very scary indeed. I am becoming more and more concerned about climate change and what might happen next …
It does seem to be getting much worse.
Vancouver probably isn’t happy that you don’t consider “Vancouver” to be a word (at least on Wednesday) — but I’m sure you have no objection to Vancouver being a word the rest of the week. 😉
It was a beautiful day; the weather was terrific during our visit, even though there was some haze. It was a good break from all the smoke in BC’s interior.
At times there probably are traffic jams on this river.
This is actually an inlet of the Pacific Ocean. Yes, it does get rather busy at times, especially before covid when there were many more tourists.

Yes, it was somewhat smoky, but much better than what we had in Penticton! We felt rather liberated, particularly from the smell.
This summer was particularly bad. You were smart to get away from it. It’s not healthy to breathe that much smoke every day.
Yes, it really was. A friend developed a cough and inflamed bronchia because of the smoke. He was told that it will take a month to go away!

Hahaha. 😀 It is or isn’t it (a Wednesday word)? One does like to have a little mystery in life. 😉
Looks beautiful even though the sky is still hazy.
