Time travels when you’re having fun, I guess. 😉 I do know that the mosquitoes have come out though, and they are big enough to carry away small children. 😉
I hadn’t seen them before either. It is a true wild rose because it only has five petals and there were no double blooms on the bush. They have such a beautiful scent.
The true wild roses are native to North America as most others are the descendants of all the hybridising that the ancient Romans did (I only found this out recently.) You can tell a wild rose because they only have five petals and no double blooms. And the scent is very “rosie.” 🙂
Wow 🤩
They are unusual. 🙂
Lovely close-up shot of such a rare flower. I still can’t believe it’s now June … where does the time go?

I just noticed some tiny pink ones in our yard, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen white ones. Something special!

I know the pink ones have a sweet, delicate scent. Good to know the white ones do too.
They don’t last long, but they are so pretty!
Nicely done. I wouldn’t have picked that as a rose.

Didn’t know any of that. The five petals is what looked so different to me.
The best part is how pretty they are. 🙂
