Getting out right now …

… isn’t much of an option, so here are some of my favourite views.

The warmth and soft air of Dominican Republic,

and the tang of Tofino’s salty Pacific song are remembrances of lovely past travels.

And right next to where I work, a tranquil autumn view of Great Slave Lake.

Home. ❤️
Happy week. May good memories sustain you and keep you.
Gorgeous photos, Lynette! I could use an escape to DR right now. 🙂
Thank you, Jill. 🙂
Oh yes, me too! It’s cold and I’m tired … I could really go on a rant, but I’ll save it. 😉
These are beautiful landscapes in some great areas. And yes, this time of the year is always good to reminisce and think ahead for the New Year.
Thank you. 🙂
My reminiscing is wistful this year as I would really like to be able get round and about. Have to wait. Sigh. At least the beginning of the end of covid has started. 🙂
Yes!! It was very exciting to hear that Canada administered its first vaccine shots yesterday. The end is hopefully in sight!! Either way, this definitely gives us hope for 2021.
Yes, it certainly does. 🙂
That first photo is so beautiful!
Thank you. 🙂 That photo was taken through a very dirty truck window (covered in all kinds of road salt and other crud) while the vehicle was moving. We were just coming into some sun after driving through ice fog. I was surprised that it turned out so well.
Like the year 2020, these views are hot and cold. Great shots. Thanks for sharing Lynette. Allan
Thank you. Yes, they are. 🙂 I have never been so happy to say good-bye to a year.
Beautiful views–in all kinds of weather/climates! Thanks for sharing:)
Thank you and you’re welcome. 🙂
stunning views!
Thank you very much. 🙂
Beautiful clicks Lynette, love them all❣️
Thank you. 🙂
Beautiful, beautiful scenes so well seen, Lynette. Lovely photographs. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much, Stuart. I have a sense that, even though I loved these scenes, I was a bit taking them for granted. Having my movement curtailed so much this year has shown me how fortunate I’ve been.
It’s odd, isn’t it, Lynette? When we’re surrounded by natural beauty, it’s so easy to take it for granted. Posting daily pictures of what to me are everyday scenes has shown me that for many people these places are special. I look at my surroundings through different eyes now, trying to see scenes as though they are new to me. The responses of others are so valuable for keeping us grounded but also for showing us that some things we see as ordinary are, in fact, really quite special.
That’s so true, Stuart. One of those coronavirus silver lining pieces (if only we could gotten that – me, anyway – without the virus).
Oh, I think we all fall into the trap of everyday living getting in the way of appreciation. We all need some event, stimulus, even perhaps a negative influence, to shake us out of our natural complacency. Life lived with full awareness would be just too much for most of us, especially if we’re sensitive.
Very good point. 🙂
Yes, good memories have been vital this year! Beautiful images. Thank you for sharing 🙂
You’re welcome. 🙂 I’ve enjoyed seeing what others have stored away. 🙂
Oh I missed your posts
No problem! Thanks for all your likes. 😀
My pleasure
I’m not sure if the sun is rising or setting in your photos, but it’s gorgeous just the same. Love the colors in them all, especially the last one. 🙂
The first one is a rising sun and the last one is a setting sun. The DR photo shows a rising moon. 😉
Thank you very much, Christi. The last one is best because that’s where home is. 🙂
The photo of beach landscape is truly amazing!
Thank you very much. 🙂
