I found this form of wild pea still flourishing even though it has now become quite cold here in the Northwest Territories.

Nice to still see these colours, but they won’t last long now.
Happy weekend, everyone. 🙂

amazing post. thanks for sharing!
Thanks and you’re welcome. 🙂
I love finding things like this! 🙂
Right? Unfortunately those little plants are now covered in snow as we got quite a bad storm today.
Oh my! We are still having warm days in the Northeast. Well there is beauty in the winter months too. 🙂
I am quite far north (same latitude as Anchorage) and next to the world’s 10th largest lake, so we get lots of snow! The winter is really gorgeous, but l’m not ready for it yet!
I actually love winter almost as much as fall. But I don’t like driving in the snow and ice, especially where we live because the roads are 2 lanes and winding. But with a big snow event, we’re all home so that makes it cozy 🙂
Yes, there’s something about a snowfall that seems to trigger our need to stay home and cozy up. So lovely. We have to be careful driving here as well. Also 2 lanes, and when it really gets going, it’s hard to see where the road edges are.
Oh yes, I can imagine. Here in Pennsyvlania it’s only like that now and then. We are not seasoned drivers the way folks up north are!
I’ll be happy when I return more permanently to the south and let my snow-driving skills decline. 🙂
Haha – yes!
Very nice! Enjoy the color while you can… 😉
I did. 🙂 We got such a snow storm today that they are now completely covered though. 🥶
Have a nice weekend, Lynette.
Thanks Lori, you too. 🙂
So delicate. How do they survive, you wonder?
And also tough. They are now covered in snow and while it’s about -2C right now, by Dec we will have -40. They have found a way.
Tough and beautiful, an unusual combination. Although I’m aware of a number of women who also fit that definition. Nature is remarkable in its diversity.
Yes, it certainly is. 🙂
I love little surprises like that. It makes the hike all the more enjoyable.
BTW: it’s snowing here — not the first of the season, but this one is accumulating!
Yes, it really does! I’m quite a sucker for these little finds.
Too bad about the snow. It seems like we’re going to have a bad winter in N America. Of course, that will make 2020 quite complete…
