Fire Sky

At 11 p.m, the northern sun started to sink below the horizon.

The very long daylight hours …

… make up for the long hours of darkness in December.

These are not the best quality photos as they were taken from the side window of a moving vehicle, but in this series, it’s the sky that counts.

Have a good week. 🙂

  1. Great shots for being taken through the window of a moving vehicle Lynette. As the days shorten, I will actually be awake for the sunsets, soon. Thanks for sharing. Allan

    1. Thank you, Allan. 🙂 I tried to reduce the blur as much as possible, but M was doing about 110 km. I thought about stopping for a couple of good shots, but in the north the mossies have been so terrifically bad this year that I just couldn’t! I am in Penticton now and they are nowhere near as bad. Yes – waiting up for the sunset can make it pretty late!

  2. So beautiful colors! Sunsets are so different and nice to photograph. Yesterday I realized that the day has shortened. The sunset is at 22.40 and sun is rising 4.14. Soon it will be one hour shorter.

I'd love to hear what you have to say!
