I can’t imagine seeing him in the wild. Great shot, Lynette!
Thank you. 🙂 Yes, this peacock is wild, but he doesn’t seem too concerned about humans, either. He’s pretty big and can be rather intimidating if he chooses.
Stunning! Where was he? What time of day?
This is one of a group of feral peacocks in Naramata, a small town (pop – 1600) in the Okanagan Valley, BC. They are the descendants of some tame peacocks that were released about 15 years ago after their owner died. They do well for themselves among all the wine grapes in this rural area. I took the photo at about 4 in the afternoon.
Cool! Thank you for satisfying my curiosity.
Love it! Thank you:)
You’re welcome. 🙂
Love this!
Glad to liked it. 🙂
Spectacular photo, he is very handsome. Stay positive and stay well, Lyn
Thanks, Lyn. He’s quite a looker. 🙂
You stay well, too.
Gorgeous!
Thank you. 🙂
I read that when you see a peacock in all his glory, keep your distance! I see you were being smart. 🙂
They are rather intimidating and everything so often he would stamp his feet and shake his feathers. Intimidating would suddenly become a bit menacing.
Such a wonderful capture of his performance. Beautiful! 😍
Thank you. 🙂 He’s very flamboyant. 😉
