Flowers of Republica Dominicana – Part I

Orchids are a marvellous part of the Dominican landscape.

There are many kinds, including the vanilla orchid that is native to the island. They weren’t blooming when we visited, but here’s a beautiful white one that was.

New World Orchid

And one more.

Miltoniopsis

There are many magnificent things in the world; in this 20/20 year, we need to see that.

Greetings from the lovely orchids of Dominican Republic. 🙂

  1. Exactly what I needed after a miserable battle with the worst flu I’ve ever experienced. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos, Lynette. Happy New Year!

    1. Oh Jill! So sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling so poorly. Flus can be really bad. People think, oh, it’s just the flu, but it can be a lot more than that. The last one I had turned into pneumonia. Be good to yourself and I hope you feel better soon. I’m glad the photos brightened your day. 🙂

  2. Such a hopeful and beautiful start to 2020. Wishing you a very happy new year and thank you so much for all your thoughtful comments and kindness last year!
