An interstice of beach,
A microcosm of mysterious crags and clinging tree roots,
A shell, a crab,
The mother of earth written in sand at my feet.

What a gorgeous area. I love the first photo, Lynette!
Thank you! π That beach is so beautiful. π
Oh what a beautiful, secret place, Lynette. ‘Interstice’ isn’t a word one hears often these days. I love it. π
Thank you! π
Yes, that word is falling out of use I think, but it seemed appropriate somehow.
I do not think this is on Chesty Lynette? It looks like the gap between Incinerator rock on Long beach. They used that spot in the last Planet Of The Apes movie.
I’m sure you’re right – I bow to your superior knowledge. (I have to check the sequence of my photos. π ) I didn’t know it was a movie site.
Tofino over the years has had just about every movie star. We’ve had dozens of films done here. I remember being a paparazzi trying to get shots of Jack Black,Steve Martin and Owen Wilson……..and I did! Front cover on the Victoria Colonist.
You did the paparazzi bit! I’m thinking that must have been really hard work.
not really……I knew the peoples property that backed onto the set. I shot from undercover, but someone must of seen my glass flash as everyone pointed me out. Thats when I booted it.
I can’t help but think of early man walking down those natural trails, living in its beauty and abundance. Lovely, Lynette.
Thank you. π One of the Planet of the Apes movies was filmed there, apparently because of its primal appearance.
“Written in sand at my feet”–love that line:)
Thank you! π
Interesting images. I am so intrigued.
